Advanced Topics in Alzheimer's Care: A One-Day Train-the-Trainer Program: Effingham, IL

This new and innovative staff training program uses case studies, games, role playing, and group exercises to bring eight in-services alive for direct care staff. Topics include: 1) Person-centered Care, 2) Communicating through Music, 3) Bathing, 4) Intimacy & Sexuality, 5) Reducing Resistive Behavior, 6) Preventing Falls, 7) Spirituality, and 8) End-of-life Care.
The $160 fee includes continental breakfast, lunch, a scripted training manual, PowerPoint slides and handouts.
CEUs are available for Activity Directors, Counselors, Nursing Home Administrators, OTs, PTs, RNs, and Social Workers for an additional $10.
