Multi-disciplinary Certificate Program in Dementia Care, Assessment, and Management: Lombard, IL

This program for a multi-disciplinary audience provides up-to-date information and skill development about assessment, care, and management of people with Alzheimer’s disease and related dementias. Recognized experts in various aspects of dementia will offer clinical, psychological, theoretical, social, legal and therapeutic perspectives that focus on application. Attendance of five (5) of the six (6) sessions plus completion of simple self-study exercises is required to earn the Certificate in Professional Continuing Education in Dementia Assessment, Care, and Management and the college credit. Earned CEU documentation will be provided to all participants for actual hours in attendance. Hours earned vary by discipline.
Fee: $ $525 before 2/26/2009 — $600 after this date.
CEUs: Certificate of Professional Continuing Education and Certificate of Attendance will be issued for continuing education requirements that may entitle the participant to obtain credit from his/her respective licensing or certifying agency or institution. Three (3) semester credit hours will be provided at no additional cost.
Dates and Time:
Program sessions will be held on six (6) Thursdays on the following dates in 2009: March 5 & 19, April 2, 16 & 30 and May 5.
Each of the sessions will be eight (8) hours in duration and start promptly at 8:30 a.m. and end at 4:30 p. m.
Working/networking lunch time will be reserved for problem solving activities.
Lunch will be on your own. A list of eateries in the area will be provided.
Dress is casual.
